סבתא אלישבע הגיעה לעזרתו ומשכה גם כן, אך הגזר לא זז. הגיעו בזה אחר זה, הנכדה אביגיל, הב הב הכלבלב, ומיאו החתול ועזרו למשוך והוא עדיין לא זז. רק כאשר הצטרף למשיכה עַכְבָּר אָפֹר, הגזר יצא.
